He easily relates with students from a variety of backgrounds and especially empathizes with students who discovered their calling a bit later in life. Mindset, along with a degree in psychology, makes him a master of the Behavioral Sciences and CARS sections, and he sees himself as proof that you don’t have to be a science content wizard to achieve an ultra-competitive MCAT score. ![]() A lover of games and puzzles, Jason sees standardized tests as a fun critical thinking challenge. He would reach countless more through developing course content, writing test review materials, and training other teachers and tutors. When Jason started teaching SAT classes in 2007, he had no idea that he was embarking on a career that would see him working with over a thousand students and helping them to navigate their preparation for the MCAT, LSAT, SAT, GRE, and Jason MCAT Score: 519 Education: Penn State University, BS in Psychology, Biological and Evolutionary Sciences An avid sports fan, Evan loves the Kansas City Chiefs, but also enjoys spending time reading books about science fiction, fantasy, and science. Evan now works in a neurosurgery research lab. Outside of tutoring, Evan spent time working as a medical scribe, volunteering as an interpreter for Spanish-speaking patients, and residing over the University of Kansas' Peer Health Education program. Evan particularly enjoys showing students how even the most intimidating MCAT questions can be broken down into simpler steps, and can therefore be much more straightforward than they seemed at first glance. With a special emphasis on strategy and practice, Evan understands that the MCAT is a solvable puzzle in which students combine their scientific knowledge, logic, and critical-reading skills to demonstrate to medical school admissions committees their readiness to become physicians. For Evan, tutoring and teaching are fantastic ways to help promising students to reach their potentials. After Evan took the MCAT in March 2021, he swiftly joined the Blueprint team, and has been teaching and tutoring the MCAT ever since. He began by tutoring students in genetics, organic chemistry, and biology. Evan began teaching and tutoring in 2020, while he was an undergraduate at the University of Kansas. ![]()
